WHITE HOUSE AIRLINE CEO BREAKFAST

FEBRUARY 9, 2017

White House Listening Session on the Airline Industry: President Trump made opening remarks at a White House breakfast with airline industry representatives, promising to roll back regulations and update the tax code to benefit businesses. He also said the head of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) should be a pilot. Following introductions from attendees, the president asked several questions of the representatives and listened to their answers.

After opening remarks from the president and introductions around the table, a press aide asked reporters to leave, but the president said they could stay, so reporters were allowed to stay 13 additional minutes.

EDITOR'S NOTE: Every time the President said the head of the FAA should be a pilot, it was like he threw a turd in the punch bowl. These airline CEOs HATE pilots. The last thing they want is for the FAA Administrator to be a pilot.
